Livermore needs experienced leadership

In the community survey that was taken as I left office in 2020, 93% of respondents agreed that Livermore was a great place to live and raise a family. During my service to Livermore as mayor from 2011 - 2020, I worked with City Council, City staff, and members of our entire community to develop and implement the progress that provides the high quality of life we love about Livermore. As your mayor in 2022, I will continue to lead the work that needs to be done to keep us an All American City.

My wife, Sue, and I moved to Livermore in 1985. For almost 40 years, this community has been our home. We raised our sons here and have developed many strong connections to our city. I love Livermore, and want to do all I can to help it thrive well into the future.

My involvement in Livermore city government began when I was first elected to City Council in 2005. Prior to serving our city, I used my background as a chemist to provide leadership on the Zone 7 Water Board, from 1990 - 2005. In all of my roles, I have served with integrity, vision, and commitment. My experience will provide continuity and perspective as our city welcomes our new City Manager and two new city council members.
