ABOUT ME
Proven Leadership
Why I'm Seeking Re-election
I’m proud to serve the citizens of Livermore. My wife, Sue, and I moved to Livermore in 1985. For almost 40 years, this community has been our home. We raised our sons here and have been committed to contributing our talents as passionate ambassadors for Livermore.

My involvement in Livermore city government began when I was first elected to City Council in 2005. Prior to serving our city, I used my background as a chemist to provide leadership on the Zone 7 Water Board, from 1990 - 2005. In all of my roles, I have served with integrity, vision, and commitment. My lengthy experience provides continuity and perspective.
As Mayor I represent the citizens on numerous Commissions, Committees and Authorities across the region. I was humbled to be recently elected as President of the Alameda County Mayors Conference and am dedicated to representing our city skillfully.

I am delighted to travel frequently across our fine community and participate in numerous local events and I listen carefully to our citizen’s concerns. It’s gratifying to see the caring culture we’ve become from our rich heritage.

I love Livermore, and want to continue to do all I can to help it thrive well into the future.
